Alizee was born August 21, 1984 in Ajaccio, Corsica. She began taking dance lessons at age 5 and soon after took drama lessons.

Her parents entered in the equivalent of Star Search later and Alizee won the admiration of the television audience with a rendition of a theme that was a great success at that time in France.

Her performance led to an audition to record "Moi ...Lolita "in 2000 by the pop star Mylène Farmer and producer Laurent Boutonnat. The duo was overwhelmed with the presence of the young Alizee, and then signed a contract.

The song "Moi ... Lolita "became one of the best selling single in recent history.Alizee had become a successful pop music overnight.

After a series of appearances to promote her single, Alizee recorded the album "Gourmandises", written by Farmer from the point of view of a teenage girl going through the typical experiences of someone his age.

The album was a success and went platinum in France in just three months. The next single "L'Alize," released in conjunction with the album, also won a best seller at home and abroad.

Having triumphed in France, Germany and the Netherlands, Alizee set out to conquer international markets in 2001, being released Gourmandises in the rest of Europe, including Russia, as well as in Canada and Japan.

In England, their debut song was widely used in radios despite the absence of a translated version, a rarity in the British market.

Alizee won the award for most promising newcomer both the M6 Music Awards and the NRJ Music Awards. He also won the award for Best Music Website at the NRJ Music Awards.

Upcoming projects include another album and maybe some film work. Alizee herself has hinted that romantic interests play a role, or the role of a Bond girl in the future.
